A perfect summer day in the Berkshires.

What a day this was! I had been excited to shoot at this venue. Having spent so long in Vermont I'm partial to old converted barns and this is one out in the Berkshires looked like it would be one of my favorites. But after weeks of seemingly non-stop rain, today's forecast was different that morning. Instead of just rain, there were tornadoes! I'm not kidding! Ultimately a few did touch down within a couple miles of my home. But out in the Berkshires at Gedney Farm it was a different situation altogether. Although the morning started out looking a bit gray it ended up being a gorgeous summer day and I was delighted that the ceremony would end up being outside under the big tree.

Alex and Heslat had family and friends from several countries all over the globe in attendance. The bride's mother ran into some last minute complications with travel from China and there was some worry she wouldn't be there in time, but in the end she made it! The groom's uncle performed traditional Ulghur music on his violin during the ceremony which was a wonderful experience as I'd never heard it before.

All of these vendors were fantastic and I recommend them all.
